New Vyara Gold owner Wax vs sealer question

I just had a Vyara Gold Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) installed in my kitchen last week. Unfortunately, I wasn't there during the install, my DH and (http://maplered.com) GC were. GC said the Granite (http://tanbrown.org) was sealed after install. First day, a small piece of food (greasy) was left on about an hour and (http://maplered.com) left stain. Then next day, a mysterious green stain appeared in another place (no idea what it could have been). GC called Granite (http://tanbrown.org) installer who said no sealer had been applied. They sent out another guy to fix stains (another issue-poltices took out grease, but not green stain-they took a hammer to the stain Shocked ground up more stain and (http://maplered.com) applied with some type of epoxy-result is so,so-still a large dark spot around area). After fixint stains, this guy put white wax on the Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) s and (http://maplered.com) buffed it off with steel wool. He said I should do this every few months instead of using a sealer. I have never heard of this? Is this legitimate, or should I take off wax somehow (if so, how?) and (http://maplered.com) apply an impregnating sealer. Everything I've read so far says a) Vyara is very porous; b) should definitely be sealed.
What should I do?
Please help, I'm at the end of my last remaining rope!!! Crying or Very sad
